Norwegian Chamber Event & Newsletter Interest List - Sep 2026

The Norwegian Chamber is part of TEAM NORWAY, including the Royal Norwegian Embassy, NORWEP and Sjomannskirken - a group of official organisations promoting and facilitating trade with Norwegian businesses and supporting Norwegian people overseas. As the preeminent point of reference for the Norwegian-Australian community, we facilitate and foster the development of business, government and cultural relationships within our community. The board is run by volunteers - all funds go back into the community.

Over the last 2 years we have opened up a YOUNG PROFESSIONAL and CONCESSION MEMBERSHIP that is there to raise funds and support the wider Norwegian community from a cultural perspective with 3 annual events: 17-Mai, Nordic Film Festival in July, and Grot-fest on the Sunday closes to Lucia dagen. We also promote other events open to members and non-members such as the Nordic Golf Day in March, monthly European Networking events, and other Norwegian cultural events as they appear. Members enjoy reduced or free access to these events and discount codes to major performance events such as Secret Garden Reunion Tour in November 2026 (contact us for the discount code). Please register to receive our newsletter here and follow us in our social media channels.

So far, we have raised money for parade banners, events insurances, cleaners, venue hire etc, a cultural section on our website, and a program that supports all members with job matching and posting. Individuals can send us their resume if they are looking for work and we forward it to our company members; and the companies share their job descriptions in our newsletter.
