Conversations That Connect Begin with NOTICE

What if the most important conversation with your child hasn't happened yet?

As parents, we notice so much.

We notice when our children grow taller.
When they become more independent.
When they retreat to their rooms.
When they answer, "I'm fine."

But do we always notice what's happening beneath the surface?

Many young people carry worries they never put into words. Anxiety, friendship struggles, academic pressure, loneliness or self-doubt often remain hidden. Not because they don't trust their parents, but because they don't want to burden the people they love most.

The good news is that meaningful conversations don't begin with having the perfect words.

They begin with noticing.

NOTICE is an interactive workshop designed to help parents recognise the subtle signs that a child may be struggling and build the confidence to start conversations about mental health with warmth, curiosity and compassion.

Using Let's Be Real's evidence-informed ANCHOR Framework, you'll learn how to:

  • Notice the signs beneath behaviour.

  • Acknowledge emotions without rushing to fix them.

  • Normalise conversations around mental health and reduce stigma.

  • Connect in ways that strengthen trust and belonging.

  • Hold space for difficult emotions with confidence.

  • Remain present long after the first conversation.

This is not a workshop about becoming a therapist.

It's about becoming the safe, trusted adult every young person needs.

Whether your child is navigating friendships, anxiety, school pressures, social media, identity or simply the everyday challenges of growing up, NOTICE will equip you with practical tools to create conversations that strengthen connection: today and for years to come.

Because children don't need perfect parents.

They need parents who notice.

Conversations that connect begin with NOTICE.
