Nourish Workshop Series: Grow a Food Garden with Donna Livermore
Event description
WHAT YOU WILL LEARN
Firstly, what is permaculture? Participants will walk away from this workshop with a basic understanding of permaculture, its ethics and principles, as well as how they can create resilient, sustainable systems that work with nature and the natural limits of our planet.
They'll also learn how to improve their soil, grow heirloom vegetables, develop a productive food garden at home and the basics of permaculture design.
This workshop is suitable for those new to permaculture, anyone currently studying permaculture, gardening enthusiasts or beginning your food garden journey.
WHO YOU WORK WITH
Donna Livermore is an educator specialist with years of experience in permaculture and food growing. Donna will host this extended session and share her knowledge and passion for growing nutrient dense produce.
Donna’s main goals is to help people understand the connection between soil, plant, human (animal) and planetary health through growing a productive food garden.
WHAT YOU NEED
Please wear comfortable shoes and clothing suitable for standing, walking and working in the garden as part of the workshop. Bring your own lunch and water bottles. There will be a break to either eat together or take a moment to reflect on your learnings.
