Event description

Nourishing newborn mothers is so important for the health and wellbeing of babies, families and our whole societies. The better supported a mother is to recover from pregnancy and birth, the better her health will be for the decades to come.

Throughout history, nourishing herbal teas, decoctions and healing foods have been an integral part of the post-partum period. Join me to rediscover this empowering wisdom.

This 2 hour workshop is an engaging learning experience where we will learn about:

  • establishing good milk flow with herbal teas and breast massage
  • rebuilding a woman's Qi and vitality post childbirth for a long life of health
  • traditional wisdom on post partum care and diet from around the world
  • healing vaginal tears with herbal sitz baths
  • balancing a mother's mood and mental health post-partum.

You'll also learn which key foods and dietary principles are most important in the 8 weeks after birth.

This course is based on 1000s of years of the Wise Woman Herbal tradition in Europe and Traditional Chinese Medicine.

About me: I'm a practicing herbalist and health educator who lives between Melbourne and North New South Wales. I've supported a number of friends and clients through birth and post-partum over the last few years and went through my own post-partum period with the birth of my first child 8 months ago.

I can't wait to share the plants with you!

You will receive access to the recording, and an ebook with herbal recipes, herb cards and a suggested post-partum healing program.
