We're kicking off the night with special guests, Josh Kamau and Bailey Raumati, Community Managers from Aotearoa’s biggest game development and publishing studio - PIKPOK. Then finishing with a BANG, with an exclusive look at Ngā Taonga o te Whare Mātoro: Treasures of Whare Matoro - a 2024 Otago Polytechnic Games Showcase!

Join PikPok Community Managers Josh Kamau and Bailey Raumati for a look behind the scenes at what goes into building a personal and connected community. Through real stories and practical insights, they’ll share how small, meaningful moments make a big difference in creating spaces where players feel seen and valued. You’ll come away with ideas and tips to bring back to your own community, no matter where you’re starting from.

Josh is at PikPok as Senior Community Manager, having developed social campaigns and strategies for over 14 games by working with teams to provide engaging and positive social communities for fans to share and express their passion for games. He has been a part of the New Zealand Game Festival/Play by Play as host of the Pavs, and is a current Board member of the NZGDA.

Experienced Community Manager, PikPok - Wellington, Aotearoa
Bailey is an Experienced Community Manager at PikPok, with five years of experience in community engagement, social launch campaigns, and content creation. They have worked across multiple projects, fostering strong player communities and creating engaging campaigns across platforms.
Ngā Taonga o te Whare Mātoro: Treasures of Whare Matoro - 2024 Otago Polytechnic Games Showcase
Meet the 2024 game designers and developers from Design and IT Whare Mātoro games streams, play their games, and chat to them about their experiences. With introduction from Morgan Oliver, Lecturer at Otago Polytechnic School of Design.
