The Art of the Boa!

An introduction to one of burlesque's most timeless props — the boa.

Whether you're discovering burlesque for the first time or looking to refine your movement, this workshop explores the elegance and versatility of the boa through graceful movement, musicality and classic burlesque styling.

Together, we'll explore flowing transitions, stage presence and expressive performance while learning a beautifully choreographed routine designed to build confidence both on and off the stage.

No previous dance experience is required.

What You'll Need
• A feather boa or tulle boa (a long scarf is also suitable)
• Water bottle

Heels are encouraged but not essential. Wear clothing that allows you to move freely and feel confident.

Slow Seduction – Burlesque Foundations

An exploration of confidence, movement and self-expression through the foundations of burlesque.

This workshop invites you to slow down, reconnect with your body and discover the confidence that comes from moving with intention rather than perfection.

Together, we'll explore some of the foundations of burlesque, including musicality, fluid movement, stage presence and expressive choreography, all within a supportive environment that celebrates individuality and confidence.

More than learning a routine, this class is about discovering your own way of moving, embracing your individual expression and building confidence that you can take beyond the studio.

No previous dance or burlesque experience is required.

Heels are encouraged but not essential. Wear clothing that allows you to move freely and feel comfortable.

Reservations

Each workshop may be booked individually, or you can enjoy both workshops at a special combined rate.

Places are intentionally limited to ensure a personalised learning experience.

After Booking

1. You will receive an order confirmation email from Humanitix. If you don't see it in your inbox, please check your junk or spam folder.

2. Yvette will then email you the Workshop Policies. Please read them and reply:
   “I have read & I understand the policies.”

3. Once your Workshop Policies have been reviewed and accepted, Yvette will send you:
   • The exact studio location near Town Hall Station
   • Arrival instructions
   • A reminder of everything you'll need to know before class

4. If you have not received the Workshop Policies or heard from Yvette within one week of purchasing your workshop, please contact her directly to ensure your registration has been received.
