Join us for some fun in the sun and explore the wonders of the ocean at the Marine Discovery Centre. Dive into an unforgettable morning of interactive marine fun, exploration, and learning, topped off with a guided beach marine trail at the beautiful Henley Beach. You'll be joined by marine scientists and marine parks rangers who will be here to answer your burning ocean questions.

This is the perfect way to celebrate the start of the sunny season! Explore vibrant aquariums, take a virtual plunge into the ocean with our immersive VR headsets, and get hands-on with the exciting activities at our discovery stations. Whether you're uncovering the fascinating culture of the Kaurna people or exploring life under the sea without getting wet, there's something thrilling for everyone. The centre is for people of all ages to explore and learn!

Event Details:

10am - 11am: Explore our interactive centre and dive into the fun!

11am-11:20am: Great Southern Reef and fish feeding presentation

11.30am - 12pm: Guided Beach Marine Trail at Henley Beach (weather permitting)

Virtual Reality Adventures: Experience the thrill of swimming with Humpback Whales, Australian Sea Lions, and more—without getting wet!

Kaurna Meyunna Education Room: Discover the rich cultural connection between the Kaurna people and our coastline in this immersive space.

Interactive Games and Models: Play diving games, experience the sounds of the ocean, test your skills with sustainable fishing activities, and more!

Chat with a ranger: We'll have Marine Parks rangers here to show you the wonders of South Australian Marine Parks and the creatures they protect. Design your own tote bag to take home!

Beachcombing Marine Trail: Walk the stunning Henley Beach and learn about marine life in this guided exploration (weather permitting).

Plus, every ticket holder gets a free beachcombing guide to continue the fun at home!

This event, proudly supported by Community Bank West Beach, promises a fantastic day of marine discovery for all ages.
