Nowanup Reunion Working Bee, Music and Crafts Community Camp
Event description
A special time to come together in community remembering past contributions and contributing to Eugene’s dream for Nowanup’s future
Timing: From Friday mid afternoon and depart Monday early afternoon, or come for any part of the time.
Who can attend: This camp is open to adults and children with an interest in contributing to Nowanup’s future.
Catering: Please bring your own Friday night dinner, your breakfasts, lunches and snacks. We will have cultural community cook ups for Saturday and Sunday nights dinners. Cooking facilities are available at the Shed.
Costs: We have a range of ticket prices to suit everyone’s circumstances. Please give generously as the funds will go towards supporting our Elders, catering, facilities costs and insurance, and for materials for our working bee.
Bookings and Payment: Booking and payments can be made via Humantix. If you cannot use this system please contact Rod Safstrom.
What to bring: Please bring your own drinking and washing water, camping gear, clothing for warm, cool and wet conditions, your musical instruments and art and craft materials. Gloves and work boots would be great for our working bee. Please see the task list and bring tools and items you think will be useful. Contact Rod for more information.

Working Bee Tasks
1 Broombush spiral shelters for four compost bucket . toilets. We will use round steel posts, wire and Broombush like the Mia Mias
2. Replace door back of cottage with a solid core door and key lock. Solid core door and keyed lock needed.
3. Replace the Roller door to the shed. The opening is 2.730 m wide and 2.4 m high. Great if someone can find one with fittings
4. Repair window back room of shed
5. Convert the water supply to the toilet in the cottage from tank to dam water.
6. Possible shelving in the Cottage (unused) bathroom plus lock to make a lockable tool storage room.
7. Signage and maintenance for the walking tracks
