Event description

Note - change of date.  This event is now Monday 30th May, 8am - 10am, Crystalbrook Byron

Pop the alarm on and join us for our next NRF Industry Breakfast event at Crystalbrook Byron Monday May 30th from 8am – 10am.

Over  a delicious autumnal breakfast, we have an interesting and talented expert panel of local speakers lined up to offer some food for thought about a topic we all need to be better at – i.e. pricing your product or service.

There is nothing worse than working hard in your business all year, only to find out at the end of the financial year that you didn’t make any money...but so many of us have experienced this.

Unfortunately being BUSY in business doesn’t always equate with making a profit and getting your pricing right is an important step to master for the success of any business. Our panel of speakers will explore this topic over breakfast and will share some personal insights.

Mark Napper NRF Chair and business advisor will MC our morning and guide the discussion with a panel of talented local food and beverage industry business owners including:

  • Cam Hogan, Dollars Making Sense.  Cam  loves numbers and the power that comes when a business has them in control, rather than the numbers controlling the business.
  • Paul Wilson, Nimbin Valley Dairy - fifth generation dairy farmer and cheesemaker extraordinaire
  • Joel  Drexler, Junior Vice President at Thanks Darl – creator of Darl Bars
  • Harriet Messenger, GM Marketing & Hospitality Husk Distillers - responsible for building the Ink Gin & Husk Distillers brands from the ground up

Our panel will talk about their experiences producing & pricing their products, some of the lessons they’ve learnt over the years, how they articulate their product’s worth to customers and some common pitfalls to look out for when pricing food & beverages.  There will be time at the end for some questions and answers and as always at our NRF events, time to chat & mingle with others in the local food & beverage industry.

Breakfast will be included in the price and includes freshly brewed teas and coffee and a hot plated breakfast a la Crystalbrook Byron.

We are looking forward to catching up with you there!
