Sruti proudly presents Nrithyotsav: A Tapestry of Indian Dance Forms

SRUTI's Nrithyotsav Dance Festival will start at 3 PM with a Bala Bhavam Bharatanatyam youth performance by Akshath Piram.  
From 4.15 onwards, we will present 3 dance forms - Kuchipudi (Kasi Aysola), Kathak (Deepa Devasena) and Mohiniyattam (Ramya Shankaran), separately and in collaboration

    The main program will feature individual presentations by renowned artists representing three of India's classical dance forms: Kathak by Deepa Devasena, Kuchipudi by Kasi Aysola, and Mohiniyattam by Ramya Shankaran

      As a proficient Kathak and BharataNrityam dancer, Deepa Devasena has garnered acclaim for her exceptional artistry and dedication to preserving Indian classical dance forms. Deepa has nurtured and continues to train aspiring     dancers across 14 cities in USA, imparting the essence of the dance forms through certification, master classes and long-term courses.

        An expert on vocal percussion, as well as an acclaimed Kuchipudi and Bharatanatyam performer and choreographer, Kasi has received recognition and funding from major arts organizations in the US. He is the co-founder and creative director of Prakriti Dance Company in the Bay Area.

          Ramya Shankaran’s journey in Mohiniyattam is a testament to her unwavering dedication and passion for the classical arts. Her contributions as a performer, educator, and scholar continue to inspire and enrich the dance community, ensuring that the exquisite tradition of Mohiniyattam thrives for future generations.

          A concluding grand finale will feature all the dance forms in collaboration.
