    The NSW Branch, in conjunction with Infosys Portland, invite all procurement leaders curious about AI in Procurement to discuss the following:

    • Considerations and Next Steps

    Infosys Portland will provide a practical explanation of how AI affects Procurement, market trends, and how to incrementally incorporate AI into your procurement function to add value now and in future. There is also an opportunity to hear about some real case studies and discuss with senior procurement peers.

    Speakers:

    James Ball - Associate Director, Infosys Portland 

    James has 25 years of procurement and supply chain experience, split evenly between industry and consulting roles, having led procurement teams at Hewlett Packard, Capita, Care UK and provided procurement consulting services to 100+ global private and public sector clients during time with Retearn, Procura and Infosys consulting practices.

    James is based in UK, London, leading the EMEA procurement team in Infosys Portland and specialises in procurement operating model design, cost optimisation, sustainability and most recently the hot topic of digitisation and AI.

    John Hatton - Director, Infosys Portland 


    John has spent his whole career in procurement, commencing in the motor industry.  Since then he has worked for Mars, PwC and British Telecom among others. He also had a stint with an eAuctions business.

    His other senior roles have included Procurement Director at the UK’s biggest brewer and Chief Commercial Officer in UK Government at both Her Majesty’s Revenue and Customs and the Department for Work and Pensions.

    He moved to Australia in 2020 for a role with Commonwealth Bank, after which he joined Infosys Portland as Director.
