Event description


EDMed, is a 2 hour presentation that discusses some of the more common chronic illnesses we see in mainstream classrooms across Australia (e.g. Type 1 Diabetes, Epilepsy, Cancer and many others).  We discuss how chronic medical and mental health challenges can impact a child’s education, and share strategies that can help to better cater for children with complex health needs by addressing their physical, social, emotional and academic wellbeing. All attendees will receive a resource book and certificate of participation for their professional learning records. This session is targeted for classroom and specialist teachers, education assistants and support staff.

The event is located at St Luke's Catholic Primary School, 17 Duffy Terrace, Woodvale. Event venue: Main Dance Hall - Building on the far left of the School.
