Welcome to the NTGE Championships 2024 Ft. League of Legends 5v5 competition. This embodies the pinnacle of esports in the Northern Territory, fostering camaraderie and competition within the local gaming community. As part of NTGE’s commitment, this League of Legends season is designed to highlight professionalism, inclusivity, and the sheer joy of gaming, culminating in a grand finale that showcases the best talents in the region.

The competition is FREE to enter however there is an option to support this by donating. These donations will help us cover running costs and potentially help us provide a larger prize pool. Again, these donations are completely optional.

Team Registration Details for League of Legends 5v5

Entry Requirements:

• Early Bird Pricing: $20 per player or $100 per team, with registrations due by the 20th of April.
• Standard Pricing: $25 per player or $125 per team, with a final registration deadline of the 30th of April.
• Residency: At least two team members must be current or former Northern Territory residents to ensure local community representation.
• Rank Restrictions: A limit of one Diamond or higher ranked player from the previous season per team to maintain competitive balance.
• Due to the introduction of emerald rank, the player-base average elo has increased. As a result the limit the rank restrictions is to updated to a single Diamond 1 ranked player and above per team. The Division manager can also make a skill-based assessment if requested by a player that is not ranked for competitive integrity.
  
• Grand Final Attendance: Eligibility for the Grand Final may require attending a live event in Darwin, NT, with details announced later in the season.
• Team Size: The league accommodates a minimum of 6 teams for the Round Robin format, with 8 teams or more for the Swiss format, promoting an engaging and fair competition.
• Competition Format: Teams will battle in scheduled matches, leading to an in-person Grand Final in Darwin, with the specifics to be detailed closer to the event.

Schedule

NTEC Schedule will be established as soon as a Division is confirmed. The Division Manager will advise the relevant Team Captains early May 2024. To stay up to date regarding the final Schedule, please join the NTGE Discord and reach out to your Division Manager at the earliest.

Finding a Team

Players looking to join a team can utilize the NTGE Discord and NT Gaming and Esports Community (NTGEC) forums, where individuals can connect based on their preferred roles and game titles.

• Division Manager: Chris Pilling (Discord: Chris P) spearheads the division, offering comprehensive support and guidance throughout the season.
• Additional Support: Nash Meek, Liam Pollock, Daniel (Prodigium), Liam Stuart (On-Fleek), and Dana (C4Jay) contribute as Assistant Managers and shoutcasters, enriching the league’s dynamics and ensuring smooth operations.

This team plays a pivotal role in facilitating the competition, from scheduling to onboarding and resolving disputes.

NTGE Championships 2024 Prize Pool & Recognition for League of Legends 5v5

The championship's prize structure is meticulously designed to celebrate excellence:

• Regular Season Rewards: $250 allocated for the regular season, with $50 distributed monthly to recognize MVP, Most Improved Player, and Best Play of the Month.
• Grand Final Prizes:
  • 1st Place: $500, along with the Team Gold trophy, medals, and certificates.
  • 2nd Place: $150, plus medals and certificates.
• Trophies & Medals: Trophies and medals awarded to top teams to receive the accolades they deserve.

Community support, sponsorships, and donations are crucial in amplifying the excitement and competitiveness of the season, encouraging both spectators and players to contribute to the prize pool’s growth.
