Join us for a 2nd Science of Reading workshop from Julie Scali at Literacy Impact.

This PL day is suitable for teachers and school leaders that already have a good understanding of the research behind reading science and have implemented some evidence-based literacy approaches and assessments in their schools. This session will extend on this knowledge and implementation and support school teams to deepen their understandings on how to embed this consistently across a school.

The day will cover the following:

  • Understand the why behind low variance curriculum and consistent routines
  • The preconditions for change in schools
  • Lesson design for explicit instruction
  • Oral language routines
  • Fluency routines
  • Spelling routines
  • Language and reading comprehension routines
  • Team planning- consistent routines in each year level 

The day is ideal for small teams of teachers, leaders or aspiring teacher leaders that are keen to implement consistent approaches schoolwide.

*If possible, please bring along a rich text (fiction or non-fiction) that would be suitable for reading aloud to your year level/s that has a cross curricular link (eg. Australia and its neighbours- Year 3 HASS)

How much are tickets? 

Early bird tickets start from a SUPER LOW $65 for Network Teach Members & $110 for Non Members! This same event was advertised between $300 and $400 per person through other providers so this represents unbeatable value. 

A school compliant invoice is provided immediately upon payment for your convenience and to support any school purchases.

What's included in the SUPER LOW ticket price?

 What should I bring to the event?
