    ***For Year 2, 3 and Year 4 educators***

    This specialised 'Number Play' workshop is running for the very first time!

    Are you are a middle years primary teacher, tutor or family adult with a child in in Years 2, 3 or 4? 

    Do you have an interest in kind and playful ways to explore and learn key maths concepts?

    Then this session is for you 🌺

    PS - If you're a teacher, this counts as PD (see AITSL standards below).

    The event:

    Come along for a fun afternoon of Number Play.

    During this one hour session, we will: 

    ✨ Explore different ways to play with number which are appropriate for middle years of primary school

    ✨ See and interact with addition, multiplication and time new and playful ways

    ✨ Access plenty of tips and resources for use at home and/or school

    Can't make it on the day? Never fear, there will be a session recording made available with all resources within a week. 

    Date & Time:

    Thu 20th June 2024, 4:30-5:30 PM AEST 

    4:00-5:00 PM ACST, 2:30-3:30 PM AWST, 6:30-7:30 PM NZST. Convert for other time zones here.

    Doors will open ten minutes before for a prompt start.

    HOST: Alex Box — Primary Teacher, Founder of Maths Play & International Day of Maths Ambassador

    Alex is an experienced primary classroom teacher who identifies as formerly maths-anxious, now maths-excitable. Alex is the founder of mathsplay.org, a community initiative facilitating collaboration among organisations and individuals on projects that support educators and learners to experience maths in playful and rewarding ways. She specialises in the use of everyday mathematical talk and a research-based teaching approach called Number Talks for building everyday confidence and sparking joy when working with numbers. She keeps out of mischief by creating playful maths game variations and open-ended tasks that align with curriculum.
