Event description

Nungurner Working Bee & Make a Zine.
Work with us to protect Nungurner Bushland Reserve from invasive species; firstly by getting identify them, then with plants and wildflowers make a Zine with artist Josh Willoughby.

On the 10th November with the Nungurner Landcare group, we will utilise mono printing to create a local plant identification zine. This will be a hands on experience, resulting in an artistic and informative asset for the group to utilise in many ways into the future.                                                                                                                                                                       Mono printing is a simple process where participants gather native flora samples, making images directly from nature. This creative act fosters connection to place, with visually rewarding results.                                                                                    My creative practice is centred around celebrating nature and searching for global connectivity. Through painting, poetry, textiles, I strive to remind us that we are all standing on one planet, sharing it with: grasses, trees, birds, insects, moss, mammals, indeed we are all earthlings (the grasses included). The workshop in Nungurner is a fantastic way for us to share our love of the natural world.
