Event description
Nurrungar Gathering is to be hosted by proudly disabled, First Nations yinarr Renay Barker-Mulholland, Biripi Dunghutti, and is funded by Women with Disabilities Australia (WWDA). Overarching systemic reform is needed, and to move towards that we need to engage in deep listening and commit to a rebalance of power.
Nurrungar is a chance for First Nations women, and gender diverse people over the age of 18, to gather in an accessible, culturally safe space, connect and have a yarn. An opportunity to share and learn our ways of knowing, and ways of leading, nurrungar, Gathang word for listen, and will be for our community to be creators of change, and not passive recipients of service delivery funding.
If you are interested in attending please complete the following information, and I will be in touch.
