Join this two-part, hands-on workshop series to better understand your soil, nutrients, and fertility flows, and learn practical strategies to manage your soil to its full potential.

North Coast Local Land Services invites you to this two-part workshop where you’ll explore soil types, nutrient dynamics, and fertility flows on your farm, and learn practical strategies to optimise soil health and productivity.
Day 1: Soil health basics
Learn about soil formation, properties, land capability, and practical DIY testing.
Attendees will receive farm maps and, if attending Day 2, two soil chemistry testing kits per farm.
Please note: Day 1 is also available for rural lifestyle and conservation landholders (soil chemistry kits are not provided)
Day 2: Nutrient smart soils
Learn to interpret your test results and address key soil constraints.
Introduction to nutrient budgeting will be held on 27th - 30th of February 2026 (dates will be scheduled based on test results turnaround; further details will be emailed to registered attendees).

Additional details: A light lunch will be supplied at the workshops.
