Nutrition Night with a Dietitian!
Event description
Are you a busy student bored of the same 4-5 meals on rotation every week? Ever wanted some free tips from an Accredited Practising Dietitian on how to make tasty, nutritious meals on a budget? All while enjoying some free chai and snacks?
Then you're in luck! MVS is delighted to host Dr Peter Johnston at Monash. He is an Accredited Practising Dietitian, with a Masters in Nutrition and Dietetics, and a PhD in Human Genetics.
He has prepared a great presentation just for uni students on how we can include more nutritious food in our packed schedules, keeping our time and budget constraints in mind.
Dr Johnston has been vegan since 1991 and specialises in plant based nutrition. He will also be chatting more in depth with us about supplementation, protein, and other common dietary concerns vegans and vegetarians may have. There will be a chance at the end of his presentation to ask him some questions as well, especially if you're someone looking to eat in a more plant-forward way!
This is a FREE event, but we ask that you please register your attendance so we grab enough food and drinks.
See you on Thursday 8th of May at Room 1.21 (on Level 1) in the Learning and Teaching Building at Monash Clayton!
