The Asia-Pacific region is home to well over half of all people worldwide who do not obtain sufficient dietary energy to maintain normal, active, healthy lives. Children, in particular, continue to face the burden of food insecurity.Â
Young Women in Sustainable Development is organising a virtual side event on Nutrition for Food Sovereignty: Building Climate resilient food systems as part of the 11th Asia-Pacific Forum on Sustainable Development hosted by United Nations ESCAP on 23rd February.
The event will highlight the critical challenges faced by children and young people in understanding and achieving food security and food systems transformation and empower participants with the knowledge and skills they need to take action.
