NuWave // JoyTribe Ecstatic Dance ft. DJ OKTO

Continuing on from the Liberators Ecstatic Dances of times gone by, JoyTribe is carrying the banner forward with NuWave

A streamlined offering of pure self expression of dance and connection of a beautifully crafted musical journey, in a 100% sober mindful environment

The monthly sober nightlife events will be transforming from a monthly NuTopia offering to an alternating offering of a simplified ecstatic dance (a single yet wildly creative sober dance journey followed by a nourishing meal) one month followed by a mini festival the next month (akin to NuTopia in multiple DJs, workshops, elixir bar and food with other offerings)

We are kicking off this new direction, featuring special guest DJ OKTO from the Blazing Swan Community. 

Those who are lucky enough to know him will know OKTO as a multi instrumentalist and electronic producer that radiates a versatile bass house music and a charismatic stage presence that will leave the dance floor endlessly captivated. He specializes in music that evokes raw emotions through a meticulously crafted dance journey to leave an everlasting impact on his audience.

Discover your playful connection to yourself and each other with a guest facilitator at the start of the night for warm up before we lift you up and carry you through the waves and rhythms of NuWave

To celebrate the colorful talents in our JoyTribe community we will have an optional body paint theme for this night, under black lights.

Arrive from 6:30pm for optional painting activities

7:30pm connection and warm up activities begin

8:00pm to 9:30pm Ecstatic Dance journey by OKTO

9:30pm Hearty meal by our Chef Rodrigo

Ecstatic dance is a safe, expansive, substance free dance-floor where you are free to dance how you feel. There are no right or wrong dance-moves, it's a place to play with freedom of expression in a respectful way that is designed to enable you to feel at ease and freedom to express any emotion that arises. Together we discover an empowering connection to intuitive movement. On the dance-floor we keep it non-verbal to support everyone's focus on dance. Phones away, shoes off and an accepting environment of self-acceptance.
