NZ Police Dive Squad Road Show (Kahungunu)

Kia Ora Whanau! We are delighted to announce that the summer season is approaching and we are proud to reveal some of our kaupapa for the 2025 summer period. With the summer months come opportunities for whānau and communities to explore Aotearoa's coastlines and strengthen their connections with Tangaroa. Unfortunately, these opportunities can sometimes result in the loss of lives among our whānau and friends. This year, we are commencing our season by hosting the NZ Police Dive Team in Hastings. We invite you to meet the team at the No.5 Cafe & Larder on Saturday, 20th September, to learn about their efforts in bringing our whānau home when Tangaroa has taken them. This event presents an opportunity to listen to a presentation by the NZ Police Dive Team and Tangata o te Wai to explore the water safety education opportunities available in Hawkes Bay. We are also inviting the HB Freedom Divers Club to discuss opportunities for freedivers of all levels to dive alongside experienced divers in Hawkes Bay. We officially invite you to network and wānanga with us to explore the opportunities we have on offer this year and share your thoughts on what opportunities you would like to see in the future.
