Travel instructions

Day 1: Workshops - Venue: Willeston Conference Centre, Level 11, 15 Willeston Street, Wellington CBD. Walk from Wellington Train Station: Approximately 15 minutes on foot (around 1 km). You can walk via Customhouse Quay or Lambton Quay towards Willeston Street. Closest Bus Stops: Lambton Quay at Hunter Street is approximately 350 metres (5 minutes' walk) from the venue. Several Wellington city bus services stop here. Car Parking: Paid parking is available at nearby car parks, including: - Victoria Street Parking Centre (Wilson Parking), 15–21 Victoria Street. - Queens Wharf Car Park, 1 Jervois Quay. - Frank Kitts Car Park, 68 Jervois Quay. - Paid street parking may also be available along Willeston Street, Victoria Street and surrounding streets. Parking rates and restrictions vary. Bicycle Parking: Public bicycle parking options include: - Willeston Street bicycle parking, near 24 Willeston Street. - Grey Street cycle parking. - Shell Lane bike racks, off The Terrace. Cyclists are encouraged to bring their own locks. Motorcycle Parking: Dedicated motorcycle parking near the venue has not yet been confirmed. Please check Wellington City Council's parking information for designated motorcycle parking spaces. From Wellington Airport: Willeston Conference Centre is approximately 8 km from Wellington Airport. 1. By bus: Catch the Airport Express (AX) bus and get off at Lambton Quay at Hunter Street. From there, it's approximately a 5-minute walk (350 metres) to the venue. 2. By taxi or rideshare: Taxis and rideshare services are available at designated airport pickup areas. Travel time is approximately 15–25 minutes, depending on traffic. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Day 2 Conference - Venue: TAKINA, Wellington Convention and Exhibition Centre, 50 Cable Street, Wellington CBD Walk from Wellington train station: Around 20 minutes on foot (approximately 1.7 km). You can also catch a bus part of the way and walk the rest. Closest bus stops: Most Wellington buses stop along Courtenay Place and Willis Street. From these stops it’s just a few minutes’ walk to TĀKINA. Car parking: There are no dedicated on-site parking spaces at TĀKINA. You can park at nearby car parks including: - Te Papa car park (directly across Cable Street). - Reading on Wakefield car park (across Wakefield Street). - Barnett Street car park. - Century City car park. Parking rates, time limits and payment methods vary by car park. Metered street parking is also available nearby. Payment is typically via parking meters or the PayMyPark app. Bike parking: - Te Papa (directly across Cable Street) - free bike, scooter, and skateboard parking, with padlocks available to rent free of charge. - Wakefield Street public bike racks - if you don't want to park your bike inside the building, you can use the public bike racks on Wakefield Street. From airport: 1. By bus - You can catch the Airport Express (AX) bus from outside the terminal at the airport. It runs every 10–20 minutes and goes through the city centre. Get off near Courtenay Place/Willis Street, then walk a few minutes to TĀKINA. Total travel time is about 30-40 minutes depending on traffic and stops. 2. By taxi or rideshare - Taxis and rideshare services (Uber, etc.) are available just outside the airport terminal. Travel time to the city centre is usually 20–30 minutes depending on traffic.

Willeston Conference Centre entrance: Enter the building at 15 Willeston Street, Wellington CBD TĀKINA entrances: There are multiple public entrances: two on Cable Street and one on Wakefield Street.

After entry instructions

Willeston Conference Centre: The workshops are on Level 11. Please take the lift to Level 11 and follow the signs to the conference centre. TĀKINA – Wellington Convention and Exhibition Centre: The conference is on Level 1. Please make your way to Level 1 using the lifts or escalators. Our registration team will meet you at both locations to scan your ticket.
