✨ The debut of Safe Words East Bay ✨
San Francisco’s longest-running queer comedy showcase is expanding across the Bay! Join us at Fluid510 for the launch of Safe Words East Bay — headlined by the incomparable Marquis “The Honey Bear” from LA — a night of punchy, political, and unapologetically queer comedy that’s been making waves at the SF Eagle for years.
Featuring a powerhouse lineup of comics and queens who know how to bring the laughs:
Marquis The Honey Bear
(He/Him) | Gay
📱 @marquishoneybear
An Emmy-nominated producer, writer, actor, and community organizer, Marquis The Honey Bear was also Mr. Bear LA 2023. Through his work and his signature event Black Bear Joy, he’s been creating space for Black bears and gender-nonconforming folks to be seen and celebrated. Bold, hilarious, and brimming with heart, Marquis brings his one-of-a-kind presence to the Safe Words stage for his East Bay headlining debut.
Wonder Dave
(He/Him) | Queer
📱 @teamwonderdave

Marcus Williams
(He/Him) | Gay
📱 @mwillyumz
We’re thrilled to welcome Marcus Williams back to the Safe Words stage! He has performed at the 2022 Red Clay Comedy Festival and SF Sketchfest, is a regular at the SF Punchline, and has been featured at the Comedy Central Bay Area Clusterfest Showcase.
Kristee Ono
(She/They) | Queer
📱 @rabidpixie
A little dark, a little weird, a lot of burritos. Kristee Ono is a San Francisco–based stand-up comedian exploring depression and food obsession with an unwarranted optimism entertaining enough that no one has asked her to stop yet. She is a regular on KALW radio and the co-host of Mental Health Comedy Hour, where comedians use humor to destigmatize mental illness.
YOUR HOST:
Kat Walker
(She/Her) | Gay
📱 @queenkatwalker
Kat Walker is a comedy queen like none other, making audiences laugh from coast to coast. She’s won comedy roasts and headlined Pride events from Maine to California. She’s not only a stunt queen performing at drag shows for dollar bills, but can also make a full seated comedy club laugh for tens of dollars. Impressive!
Safe Words is dedicated to creating safe spaces for queer audiences and accelerating the careers of queer comedians. Each show is carefully curated to highlight both emerging talent and seasoned voices from across the LGBTQ+ spectrum.
