Are you curious about what local historians actually do? North Sydney Council’s Historical Services team collects and cares for an enormous variety of objects - from artworks to archaeology, clothing to cooking equipment. In some cases, we know a great deal about who made an object, who used it, when and where. Often, though, we have to rely on the object itself to provide us with these clues. Only a small proportion of this fascinating collection is on display at any one time; the majority is stored in our dedicated archive facility at Council's Depot.
Join Historical Services staff for a free tour behind the scenes of some of these stored artefacts, which have so much to tell us about North Sydney.
