OCCA General Meeting and BBQ

Annual General Meeting:

Join us at the Archerfield District Parkland Community Hub on Tuesday 24th of November for our 2026 Annual General Meeting.

This year, instead of a speaker at the AGM, we will be showing the film ‘Fighting for a Green Future’ which explores the campaigns, people and ideas that have shaped Australia's environmental movement. Put together by Sydney’s Total Environment Centre (TEC) it features leading campaigners, scientists, First Nations voices, journalists and political leaders. The series reflects on the past while looking to the future of environmental action. It features TEC’s Jeff Angel with special guests Tim Flannery (scientist & environmentalist), Bob Carr (former NSW 'green' Premier), Zali Steggal (independent federal MP), Brad Moggridge (Associate Professor & Kamilaroi man) and more.

The film will start at 6pm and be followed by the AGM and light refreshments.  There will also be a free BBQ at the adjacent OCCA office from 5pm.

Time:

• BBQ: 5 – 5:45 pm at the OCCA Office

• Annual General Meeting: 6 – 8pm in the Archerfield Wetlands Community Hub

Location: 455 Bowhill Road, Durack
