Ocean Heroes Broome August 2025 - Weekend 1 of 2!

Ocean Heroes is coming back to Broome this August for 2 weekends! Please note this event is for weekend 1 of 2. The details for weekend 2 of 2 will be live Thursday 3rd July.

We're excited to run a two-day event at Cable Beach - with the capacity to take over 100 neurodiverse participants surfing for free! Please share this with other families throughout the Broome and Kimberley region!

Date: Saturday 2nd & Sunday 3rd August 2025

Venue: Cable Beach, in front of the Surf Life Saving Club, Broome, Western Australia

Time: The participant will be booked into a 45 minute time slot between 9am-2pm. 

What to bring: Bathers, towels, hat, water-bottle, sunscreen and a change of clothes

* Please be advised it is compulsory for each attendee to wear a life jacket in the water.

We provide surfboards, wetsuits, lifejackets and surf instructors.

There will be Ocean Heroes hats, shirts, poncho towels and other items for sale at the event.

FAQs

Are there minimum or maximum age requirements to enter the event?

No, if they fit into one of our life jackets we will take them! We have a huge range of of sizes for our life jackets so it should not be a problem.

What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?

We understand the re-development has made parking at Cable Beach challenging. Please allow yourself extra time to find a park, but don't rush down. We'll do our best to still take the participant surfing, even if you're running late.

What can I bring into the event?

Bring a change of clothes, towel, sunscreen, hat. We provide wetsuits and lifejackets but if your child has their own wetsuit please bring it down.
