Event description

OCEAN LOVERS TALKS - Life after shark nets: a shark-smart future

With shark nets set to become a thing of the past, hear from the experts about shark-smart strategies helping us enjoy our local beach swims.

SPEAKERS:

Lawrence Chlebeck - Humane World for Animals (formerly Human Society International)

Jason Iggleden, Drone Shark

I’ve been monitoring Bondi along with Bronte and Tamarama beach since 2018 by drone. In that time I’ve documented the incredible sea life that resides in our local blue backyard, from Alex the seal, Norman and Nelly the grey nurse, Homer the hammerhead, Raymond the ray whales and dollies. My focus has been to engage and connect people to our ocean by showcasing the many encounters between beachgoers and these beloved creatures.

WHERE: High Tide Room, Bondi Pavilion

WHEN: 11am - 11.20am Saturday, March 22

Important note: Registration does not guarantee you a seat. Please arrive early to avoid disappointment.
