Lawrence Chlebeck - Humane World for Animals (formerly Human Society International)
As a marine ecologist specialising in conservation, research and outreach, Lawrence has spent years working to engender sustainable relationships between wildlife, the ocean and the public. He has worked as a field biologist, environmental consultant, naturalist and project coordinator. Lawrence’s work at Humane World for Animals is currently focused on shark welfare and protection, specifically with regard to culling and control programs, overexploitation, and international protection.
Jason Iggleden, Drone Shark
I’ve been monitoring Bondi along with Bronte and Tamarama beach since 2018 by drone. In that time I’ve documented the incredible sea life that resides in our local blue backyard, from Alex the seal, Norman and Nelly the grey nurse, Homer the hammerhead, Raymond the ray whales and dollies. My focus has been to engage and connect people to our ocean by showcasing the many encounters between beachgoers and these beloved creatures.
Brylee Robinson, Nets Out Now Coalition
Brylee Robinson - is a 17-year-old shark conservationist. She has spent the last two years fighting for the removal of shark nets and drum lines.
