Join Natasha Mitchell, host of ABC Radio National Big Ideas as she explores how the fashion world is evolving to become a force for good. Hear from crusaders, cutting-edge scientists, and visionary investors supporting groundbreaking innovations in sustainable fashion that include ocean-friendly fabrics and eco-conscious production methods.

SPEAKERS:

Lisa Lake - Director, Centre of Excellence in Sustainable Fashion + Textiles,
University of Technology Sydney (UTS)

Dr Lisa Lake is a pioneer in the Australian sustainable fashion movement having authored Sustainability with Style in 2012 and co-founded Clean Cut in 2014. She now leads the Centre of Excellence in Sustainable Fashion + Textiles at UTS and TAFE NSW. 

Christopher Hurren, Associate Professor in Textile Research, Institute for Frontier Materials, Deakin University

Chris has expertise in protective and performance textiles and a circular approach to sustainable textiles. His knowledge extends over the entire textile processing chain.
