Please join us at this historical venue in bringing together Nature and the Name for the benefit of protecting the ocean and marine life.
Nina Rao has spent decades helping in the conservation and protection of wildlife, and she is bringing together her chant friends in support of Only One and Save Coastal Wildlife of New Jersey.
Save Coastal Wildlife of New Jersey is dedicated to restoration, research and educating people about the protection of coastal wildlife along the Jersey Shore. Only One runs campaigns to drive impactful ocean and climate policy worldwide.
Doors will open at 5:30pm. There is a parking lot attached to the venue available for attendees.

Nina Rao
Nina has been chanting regularly as her main practice for decades. Her recorded albums are widely streamed and played around the world. She leads chant events, studies and shares Veda chanting and spiritual texts, is a hospice volunteer, a podcast host for Be Here Now Network, goes on yatra/pilgrimage, and is a wildlife conservationist as a chairperson for Saving Wild Tigers. Her albums include Antarayaami, Anubhav, 21 Taras Collective Mantra Mala Vol 1, and her third solo album Bhumi Devi is to be released summer 2026. More information and events on NinaRaoChant.com Nina Rao first learned sacred chants as a young girl from her grandfather in south India. The chants stayed quietly with her until she rediscovered this powerful practice with Krishna Das in New York in 1996. Since then she has been KD’s business manager and accompanies him musically. In 1998 she met her guru, Sri Siddhi Ma, in the foothills of the Himalayas and spent time with her regularly for 19 years, while Ma was in the body.
Devadas
Devadas is a kirtaniya, composer and artist hailing from Brooklyn, New York. He leads kirtans throughout the world and has recorded a wide variety of acclaimed CDs, including his latest releases, 3 Prayers and Radio Nada. In 2012, Devadas collaborated with indie-rock icon J Mascis to produce and record the film score for the feature documentary One Track Heart: The Story of Krishna Das. Devadas produced Nina Rao’s chant album, Antarayaami, and in 2016 launched the Lokah Peace Project, an online and ever-expanding video project aimed at inspiring reflection, empathy and harmony.
Ambika
Ambika has been a singer and musician for most of her life, playing in various bands in NYC until she discovered chanting with Krishna Das in 1995. Kirtan had a profound effect on her, and lead her to India where she met her teacher and Spiritual Mother, Shri Siddhi Ma. As Ambika deepened her connection to the practice of chanting, it became her home and refuge. Ambika is the cofounder of Brooklyn Kirtan Collective, and has been exploring chants from other faith traditions for several years while working with a program at The Cathedral of St. John the Divine. In February 2015, Ambika released the single "Metta Chant", produced and recorded by Devadas Labrecque. Her first full-length album, "Mother's Calling", produced by Lily Cushman, was released in March, 2018 on Mantralogy. Her latest single, “Ubi Caritas”, is available now on bandcamp, Apple Music, Spotify, and in all the places. This song was inspired by her experience at the Cathedral of St. John the Divine
Shyama Chapin
Shyama Chapin has been leading kirtan in New York City—her childhood hometown—and beyond for many moons. She began streaming her morning prayers and practice daily as the 2020 Covid-19 lockdowns began, and still does, now once a week, every Friday. Her album of original music, Road Songs (released as Jules Chapin), along with her double album of sacred chant, Love's Door, are both available to stream or as CDs. Shyama also works as a massage therapist—she started out in Northern California back in the day, and has had a busy practice in New York since 2010
Keli Lalita
Keli Lalita Reddy is a Yoga teacher, a mother and a PhD candidate in the field of anthropology. She loves chanting and spending time in practice with lovers of Bhakti.
Lee Mirabai Harrington
Lee (Mirabai) Harrington is an ordained ngakma, mantra-healer and Tibetan spiritual-healer of the Yuthok Nyingthik lineage - a unique spiritual tradition of Tibetan Buddhism connected with Sowa Rigpa and Medicine Buddha. A long-time student of Dr. Nida Chenagtsang, Bob Thurman and His Holiness Karmapa, she has served on the faculty at Kripalu,Tibet House, Menla, Sivananda Bahamas, the Omega Institute, Yogaville and more--offering courses on meditation, mantra, Nejang, and other Tibetan healing practices. As a Vajrayana practitioner,Mirabai trusts that we all have the capacity to heal ourselves and others with voice, mind, and body, (with mantra-healing being her personal path), so her live events have the feel of healing rituals. She has released severl recordings of mantra-music--mostly healing mantras from the Tibetan Buddhist and Sowa Rigpa traditions--and her music can be found on all streaming platforms. www.leeharringtonmantramusic.com. Astrud
