Ocean with David Attenborough: Community Screening for Plastic Free July
Event description
Ballina Shire Council invites you to celebrate Plastic Free July and whale watching season with a free community screening of Ocean with David Attenborough.
Ocean with David Attenborough shows stunning scenes of open ocean, coral reefs, kelp forests, and the animals that live in and around the ocean. The film explores 3 key themes: the ocean’s importance for life on earth, the impact of industrial fishing on marine life, and the benefits of marine protected areas (MPAs).
Join us as Ocean takes us deeper into the critical issues facing our oceans due to pollution, overfishing and other human activities, but moves us to act rather than despair.
