Event description

Join two FREE Ocean Youth activities these October school holidays!

You can throw away plastics but they never really leave. Discover how whales, dolphins, penguins and even little critters living in our rockpools and waterways are impacted by plastic and how you are the solution.

Next, we'll be spending the day with the Tasmanian Parks and Wildlife Service who will walk us through the wetland habitat - literally! Wetlands are incredibly important habitats just bursting with life - we'll be finding out exactly what types of animals call wetlands home, and spending some time learning how wetlands benefit not only the animals - but humans too!

Discovery Rangers at Low Head and the Tamar Island Wetland Centre will be running special wildlife workshops with Ocean Youth Tasmania on 4th and 5th October.

If you're aged between 12-16 years old, then this activity is for you! Spaces are limited, so registrations are essential - if spaces fill up and you would like to go on a wait list for last minute cancellations, email us at emma@oceanyouth.org

Photos and videos captured at this event will be used to promote the Ocean Youth Launceston program - by registering and attending this event you are consenting to your image being used for this purpose.
