Event description

Join Oceanique as they celebrate the release of their sophomore album ‘Skylines’, releasing 27th of June. With special guests Savanah Solomon and Tracey Barnett making it a very special lineup for an afternoon of superb WA music.

Beloved for their haunting harmonies and emotive storytelling, Melbourne-based indie-folk duo Oceanique are hitting the road this winter for an eleven-date national tour. The sisters will be bringing their dreamy new material—including recent singles Mountains, Window To The Sky, and All That You Dream—to intimate venues across the country, in celebration of their upcoming sophomore album 'Skylines'.

Kicking off in Western Australia and weaving through South Australia, ACT, New South Wales, and Victoria, Oceanique’s Skylines tour promises heartfelt performances in some of Australia’s most atmospheric venues and community spaces. 'Skylines' follows themes of new beginnings, new dreams and new surroundings.

Oceanique

Originally from Walpole in Western Australia, now based in Naarm/Melbourne, twin sisters Maddy and Jess of Oceanique create music that blends heartfelt storytelling with seamless harmonies. The duo’s sound draws comparisons to the sibling harmonies of First Aid Kit and The Staves, combining folk traditions with warm, reflective melodies reminiscent of the vast country sky.

Since their debut in 2019, Oceanique has become a rising act in the Australian folk music scene. Highlights include winning Port Fairy Folk Festival’s ‘Emerging Artist of the Year’ (2024) and Folk Alliance Australia’s ‘Youth Artist of the Year’ (2022). Their captivating live performances have graced renowned festivals such as the National Folk Festival, Woodford Folk Festival, and Port Fairy Folk Festival as well as supporting celebrated artists, including The Waifs at Geelong Arts Centre.

International recognition followed with six showcases at Folk Alliance International 2024 in Kansas City and a highly anticipated official showcase at Folk Alliance International in Montreal in 2025. Their debut album, Would The Light Hold Me (2023), and a 2024 live EP received critical acclaim, showcasing their evocative songwriting and magnetic harmonies.

Tracey Barnett

Born and raised in Bridgetown, Tracey Barnett’s early musical life was that of piano lessons and her mother’s beloved Slim Dusty records. Then in 1993, a musical renaissance occurred when the inaugural Blues at Bridgetown festival was staged. By the time she was in Senior High School in Manjimup, Tracey had been playing in a band with friends that sadly wasn’t going to last. However, her creative spark had been lit and Tracey began recording songs on her own. Word got out on the small-town grapevine, and she was soon being booked for solo gig appearances around the South West, as well as busking then stage performances at Blues at Bridgetown.

With a fresh new single 'Raise Your Head" released on 11 July 2025, Tracey's creative energy is as strong as ever.

Tracey’s songwriting and performances are fueled by her openness and aunique bond she creates with her audience.

As a solo artist, I find that what people value the most is that connection” she says. “I don't know if there's ever comfort in being so vulnerable but realising the value in just being genuine with people and the healing and the connection and the therapy that that can offer to an audience is just beautiful. So I find myself more and more just being like, ‘just let go Trace, it’s alright to be a mess and show people that because the rest of the world is bloody struggling as well’. The connection, unity and bond that it brings by allowing an audience to see who you are.
