Oct 17 Sweet Antelope x Essays the Show Storytelling Supper Club
Description
Killer food meets real stories.
Sweet Antelope’s Storytelling Supper Club is teaming up with Essays the Show, LA’s beloved live essay series, for a special night of food, performance, and conversation. Check out the LA Times coverage of Essays here: https://www.latimes.com/entertainment-arts/books/list/best-literary-events-readings-los-angeles-spring-2026
We’ll begin in the Sweet Antelope garden with cocktails, bites, and a live performance of personal essays from comedians and writers from Essays: The Show. Their stories will take us somewhere funny, honest, surprising, and deeply human.
Then we’ll reveal the theme for the evening.
You’ll take your seat at the dinner table for a four-course meal built entirely around that week’s harvest, and the conversation becomes yours. We’ll give you prompts to help you reflect, tell a story, or simply share your thoughts on the theme with the people at your table.
No one is put on the spot. You can tell a story, add a thought, or just listen.
It’s part performance, part dinner party, part collective storytelling experience.
