October Meditation + Crash Course in Emotional Intelligence
Event description
Come along to the October end-of-month Guided Meditation, followed by a special talk on Emotional Intelligence.
Rachel O'Rourke will present a Crash Course in Emotional Intelligence from a Buddhist perspective, covering the range of emotions from anger, jealousy and hatred to all-encompassing love, compassion and altruism.
If you'd like to find out more about managing difficult emotions, and ways to increase the positive ones, this talk is for you!
Rachel is a trained Calm-Abiding Meditation teacher and senior student of Lama Choedak Rinpoche in the Sakya school of Tibetan Buddhism. She is interested in sharing the wisdom of Buddhist teachings, which can bring lasting happiness and peace.
Beginners and more advanced practitioners are welcome. Cushions and chairs are available at the venue.
The entry is free, but donations are welcome to help us continue to offer classes and workshops, and periodically invite Tibetan Buddhist teachers to give teachings.
You are welcome to stay afterwards for a cuppa and chat, and if you can, please bring along something to share for morning tea. We look forward to seeing you there!
