Building Resilience - by Bouncing Back, Bouncing With & Bouncing Off
In this session you will learn simple but effective steps to improve your resilience and minimise the risk of burn out.
Resilience is not just an individual effort; it's also a collaborative effort that at times may not need any effort at all. The common definition of resilience goes something like “the capacity to withstand or to recover quickly from difficulties”. What is important to understand is that we all have varying capacities to withstand, recover and bounce back from our big challenges as well as our daily small ones. The question to ponder is “what if we don’t have the capacity to bounce back?” Do we simply grin and bear it and be at risk of burnout? In this session we will explore 3 key strategies to be more resilient by not only being able to bounce back, but also bounce with and allowing challenges to bounce off us. Yes! The last one can be effortless, but the toughest one to master.
