OFF FRAME FILM SCREENING
Event description
Join us for the film screening of Off Frame AKA Revolution Until Victory directed by Mohanad Yaqubi!
This archival-based film reflects on the Palestinian struggle for self-representation during the 1960s and 1970s, through the lens of the Palestine Film Unit. Drawing from rare footage once stored in global archives, Off Frame brings to light the visual language used by Palestinian filmmakers to reclaim narrative, identity, and collective memory.
Rather than telling a linear story, the film moves through fragments, revealing what has been silenced, omitted, or forgotten. It invites us to question not only what is shown, but what remains outside the frame.
Dukkana is opening its doors for a cozy community night (& feel free to bring your own blanket hihi)! The event is free but spots are limited so make sure to register!
For those who wish to give, a donation link to support my dear friend Salama in Gaza is shared upon registration.
See you all soon!!
