Offcuts and Artefacts by Christopher Rigg Opening

Chinchilla Artist Christopher Rigg is well known for his sculpture and drawings. Rigg's artwork is all about the lines and shapes he finds within the material he uses, whether it be paper, wood or stone. His works on paper are characterised by the single line repeated in strokes of colour to build up an impression of depth in the image, with his sculptures repeating his fascination with the linear. Inspiration for Rigg's artworks come from his former life in the Royal Australian Navy and its impacts on himself and others, his love of Nature and his passion for Modernism sculpture.
