Officer Wellness: In Harm's Way
Description
This training is offered by Training Force USA in partnership with Daytona State College, reflecting a shared commitment to officer wellness, safety, and resilience.
Law enforcement officers face a level of cumulative stress, trauma, and public scrutiny that has reached a crisis point. Officers are leaving the profession in record numbers, and in several recent years, more officers have died by suicide than in the line of duty. The profession demands everything from those who serve, and too many are struggling silently.
This course meets officers where they are. It provides an honest examination of what the job does to those who carry the badge and gives participants practical tools, proven strategies, and concrete resources to develop a personal plan to not only survive the profession, but thrive in it.
Thomas Gillan, Certified Law Enforcement Trainer and Criminal Justice/Public Safety Instructor, guides participants through the full scope of officer wellness, from the realities of law enforcement culture to actionable resiliency strategies grounded in research and field experience.
