Join us for the Official Opening of Gather, a Fibrant Art Group Exhibition.

Featuring work by Anne Williams, Ayako Goto, Bec Suardana, Cathy Rankin, Delys Brady, Fernanda Cook, Irene Tasma, Joyce Tasma, Julia Andrijasevich, Julia Sutton, Naomi Hethey-Lerner, Pauline White and Rowan Rovere.

Fibrant is a community-based textile group who use recycled and natural materials. Their motto is “Feed your soul with your hands”, and the artists work in a variety of mediums including, felting, hand and machine stitching, eco dyeing, book making, weaving, beading, basketry/sculpture, painting and mixed media techniques to create unusual and beautiful artworks.

Most of the artists use an element of repurposed materials and found objects, and this is a recurring theme and aligns with the group's shared ethical stance on recycling and raising awareness of environmental issues.
