Offsets: The Good (Yes!), the Bad and the Intricacies + GPN Meeting
Event description
This is an online (Zoom) talk and meeting.
Offsetting is one of the key concepts in Victoria's native vegetation conservation policies. It is the third step in the Avoid Minimise Offset hierarchy applied when application is made to remove protected native vegetation. But it is controversial, and it is complicated. There is Commonwealth and Victorian legislation to consider. There are difficult balances to be struck.
Lincoln Kern is an Ecological Consultant and Managing Director at Practical Ecology, and has been at the coalface of grassland conservation for over twenty years.
Lincoln's talk will be followed by a Grassy Plains Network monthly meeting. The Zoom link for both the talk and the meeting is https://us06web.zoom.us/j/8750...
