Ojai Mushroom Summit

Presented by Ohms Collective

October 11–18, 2026 | Ojai, California

A week of fungi, food, science, culture, regeneration & community.

The Ojai Mushroom Summit is an eight-day gathering bringing together mycologists, cultivators, scientists, chefs, farmers, healers, artists, educators, builders, entrepreneurs, storytellers and the fungi-curious for a week of learning, making, eating, connecting and celebrating.

And yes — there are mushrooms everywhere.

But this isn't just a mushroom conference.

Across Ojai, we're exploring the many ways fungi connect us to food, soil, agriculture, health, ecology, creativity, consciousness, art and community.

So… what actually happens?

Throughout the week, you'll find:

🍄 Hands-on Mushroom Cultivation
Learn the fundamentals of growing mushrooms, from genetics and agar to grain, substrate, cloning and cultivation techniques.

🌱 Regenerative Agriculture & Ecology
Explore mycoremediation, soil health, natural farming, regenerative land practices, fire resilience and the relationships between fungi, plants, animals and the land.

🧬 Science & Mycology
Hear from scientists, researchers, citizen scientists and mycologists exploring emerging ideas in fungi, microbes, cultivation, testing and the living systems beneath our feet.

🍽️ Food, Koji & Fermentation
Get your hands dirty in the kitchen with mushroom cultivation, koji, fermentation, wild ingredients, chef-led classes, dinners and culinary experiences.

🧠 Health, Consciousness & Altered States
Conversations with practitioners, educators and people with lived experience exploring mushrooms, plant medicines, consciousness, integration and the many ways humans relate to altered states.

🎬 Film & Storytelling
Documentary screenings, filmmaker conversations and stories exploring fungi, psychedelics, ecology, culture and the people working at the edges of these worlds.

🎨 Art, Music & Culture
Live music, art, performances, sound journeys, creative installations, community gatherings and some wonderfully weird Ojai moments.

🛍️ The Ojai Mushroom Block Party
Local vendors, makers, mushroom growers, food, art, education and community — bringing the fungi ecosystem into the streets of Ojai.

🤝 Community & Connection
Panels, workshops, dinners, parties, gatherings and plenty of opportunities to sit down with the people actually doing the work.

It's happening all over Ojai.

The Summit moves through some of Ojai's most interesting spaces, including Ojai Playhouse, TOPA Institute, The Ranch House, Radio Roma, Ojai Underground, Three Birds, Council House and other community gathering places throughout the valley.

Some events are ticketed.
Some are free.
Some are hands-on.
Some are dinners.
Some are films.
Some are parties.

And some are things we're probably going to have to explain afterward. 🍄

COME FOR THE MUSHROOMS.

STAY FOR THE ECOSYSTEM.

Whether you're a seasoned mycologist or someone who just looked at a mushroom yesterday and thought, “Huh… what the hell is that?” — there's a place for you here.

Come learn something.
Come eat something.
Come meet somebody.
Come get your hands dirty.
Come dance.
Come ask better questions.

The Ojai Mushroom Summit is an invitation to explore what becomes possible when fungi become a doorway into deeper relationships with each other, the land and the living systems around us.
