FAQs
- What does my ticket include?
Your $25 ticket includes entry to Oktoberfest at Botanic Bar, live entertainment, Oktoberfest games and competitions, and a take-home Oktoberfest-style souvenir stein.*
*Take-home steins are limited to the first 300 tickets sold.
- What kind of stein will I receive?
Each ticket includes a 540ml reusable Oktoberfest stein to use during the event and take home with you. In line with our venue and campus safety policies, all steins are shatter-resistant polycarbonate rather than glass.
- Does my ticket include a drink?
No. Drinks can be purchased separately from the bar throughout the event.
- Do I need to bring my stein with me?
No! You'll receive your stein at the event.
- Is the event 18+?
Yes. Oktoberfest at Botanic Bar is strictly 18+ and valid photo ID will be required for entry.
- Can I buy a litre stein of beer?
To support responsible service of alcohol, all beers will be served at a maximum of 500ml. You can reuse your take-home stein at the bar throughout the event.
- Do I need to dress up?
Not at all, but we absolutely encourage it! Dirndls, lederhosen and Oktoberfest-inspired outfits are welcome, with a prize up for grabs for best dressed.
- Will there be food available?
Light Oktoberfest-inspired snacks will be available to purchase during the event.
- What time does the event start?
Oktoberfest kicks off from 4:00 PM on Friday, 2 October at Botanic Bar, QUT Gardens Point.
- Will there be entertainment?
Yes! Trace Band will be keeping the party going from 4–8pm, alongside our MC keeping the energy high throughout the event.
- Where is Botanic Bar?
Botanic Bar is located at P Block, Level 3, 2 George Street, Brisbane City.
- Can I get a refund if I can no longer attend?
Tickets are non-refundable.
- I purchased a full-price ticket. How can I receive the student discount?
Please email us at bars@qutguild.com with your full name, ticket order number, and proof of your current student status. Our team will review your request and let you know the next steps for applying the student discount.
