DRAWING FOUNDATIONS with CLAIRE BRIDGE
DRAWING FOUNDATIONS is an 8-week class tailored for people of all skill levels, from novice to advanced. Whether you are a complete beginner, unsure about where to start, or an experienced artist wanting to enhance your skills, this class offers a variety of practical exercises to develop your drawing skills, establish confidence and solid drawing foundations.
What you will learn:
- Ten essential drawing fundamentals including: line, space, shape, form, proportion, composition, perspective, tone, shading and expressive mark making.
- How to draw what you see and create satisfying drawings.
- Experiment with a variety of drawing materials including pencil, charcoal and pan pastel.
- Spark your creativity and expression with fun, practical drawing exercises.
This class is geared toward enhancing observation skills, increasing dexterity, fostering curiosity, experimenting with materials and boosting confidence.
Each class builds on the previous session.
ABOUT CLAIRE BRIDGE -Â Claire Bridge is a local artist working across drawing, sculpture, ceramics, painting, video and installation. Her work navigates cultural and ecological hybridity, blending and reframing cross-cultural mythologies, archetypal symbolism, and intimately personal biographies. Skilled in classical and contemporary techniques, Claire shares a wealth of knowledge with her students.
COURSE DATES - 8 x Weekly Wednesday Class 6.00pm to 8.30pm Starting from the 29th of January 2025.
