This 90-minute guided Halloween Ghost Tour combines nearly 200 years of dark history with spine-tingling theatrical jump scares, bringing the gaol's chilling past vividly to life.

Walk the shadowy corridors as you uncover the stories of the men, women and children once imprisoned within these sandstone walls. Learn about the gaol's brutal punishments, infamous inmates, the silent cells, the criminally insane housed in 4 Wing, the children confined alone under the harsh 7th Class regulations, and the tragic deaths that have helped shape the gaol's haunted reputation.

As you journey through this historic prison, expect the unexpected. Strange sounds, eerie encounters and terrifying jump scares await around every corner... because on Halloween, not every spirit stays silent.

Halloween costumes are highly encouraged! Our guides will be dressed in their own spooky attire, and we invite you to join in the fun. Whether you're a ghost, witch, vampire, zombie or something completely original, come dressed to impress. A prize will be awarded for the Best Costume on the night.

Our theatrical scares are all part of the night's entertainment... but what happens beyond that is entirely out of our hands. If something unexpected occurs, you may just have your own story to tell.

So, bring your Halloween spirit, your sense of adventure, and most importantly, your sense of humour. We can't promise you'll encounter a ghost... but we certainly can't promise you won't.
