Join us for a collaborative performance featuring Sage Pbbbt and Sophie Rose. Explorative, multi-phonic expanded voice technique.
Sage Pbbbt was first inspired to sing after hearing Tuvan and Monglian throat singing and soon after that Inuit and Chukchi throat singing. Then it was a hop, skip and a jump to extreme metal, ingressive multiphonics and an ongoing exploration of extra-normal voice. She's also influenced by industrial music, trance and drone. Sophie Rose is an award-winning multi-instrumentalist, extended vocal technique enthusiast, composer, improviser, researcher, multi-media artist, and maker. Her work explores interactive technologies, embodiment, and sonic representation of psychological states and spaces through voice-centric means. She most enjoys being immersed in the unfolding exploration of sounds in the liminal space.
