On Country professional’s webinar was designed to support our professional community and explore key issues for First Nations financial wellbeing. The webinar also offers an opportunity to chat with First Nations Foundation staff and other professionals.
On this month's webinar we have Keira Hampshire from the Financial Independence Hub at Good Shepherd Australia and New Zealand.
Keira Hampshire is a proud Bundjalung and Gumbaynggirr woman from Grafton NSW, and currently lives, works and spends time with her family in the Northern Rivers region.
As Financial Independence Hub Team Leader, Keira co-leads a team of trauma informed and specialist Financial Coaches, Financial Counsellors and Hub Coordinators in supporting people with financial recovery following financial abuse. She brings passion, knowledge and experience from many years working in the community services sector and financial wellbeing.
Financial Independence Hub – Program Overview
The Financial Independence Hub (FIH) supports people of all genders, over age 18 who have experience financial abuse, and/or the financial impacts of family and domestic violence.
As a national program, FIH provide over-the-phone and video call support (with some in-person options). Our supports include service system navigation and referrals, alongside connecting participants with our Financial Counselling and Financial Coaching teams. Our strengths-based, collaborative and future-focused approach supports people in refining financial goals and actions to increase financial wellbeing.
