On the Square
Event description
Get to know where you live! The DC History Center is taking you back to basics at our annual community day On the Square.
How well do you know DC? No, not that DC; leave the White House, the Capitol, and the Mall out of this. We mean real, local DC with its many neighborhoods and super local community stories and histories.Â
Stop by the DC History Center during Open Streets on Saturday, October 5 to get to know the city with free neighborhood walking tours, a sneak peek at our upcoming exhibit, family-friendly activities, one-day-only pop-up exhibits, and a close look at new collection materials. Whether you’ve lived here for years, recently moved to the city, or are just visiting, you’ll walk away with a new understanding of the city as we go back to DC history basics.
