The Lansdowne Club are delighted to announce a Members Night, at the Darlinghurst Theatre, to see the multi-award winning Once the musical. This achingly beautiful smash-hit musical strikes an unforgettable chord and will be an evening to remember.
On 28th July at 7:30pm, we will have a chance to see the show people are calling "A sure-fire gem of a show", and "Hearts soar and music shimmers in deeply-felt, generous musical".
We will even have a corner to ourselves in "The Darlo Irish Pub" in the foyer of the theatre - to catch-up with friends (current and future).

"Guy meets Girl in this tender love story about a struggling Irish musician on the verge of giving up, and a Czech piano player who reminds him how to dream. Based on the movie of the same name by John Carney, Once features a book by Enda Walsh and music & lyrics by Glen Hansard & Markéta Irglová. It's the only Broadway show with music that won an Academy Award®, Grammy Award®, Olivier Award and Tony Award® (including Best Musical).
The NSW premiere of Once originally opened at Darlinghurst Theatre Company in 2019 to a sold-out season. Once made its highly anticipated return in 2021, but the season was cut short due to COVID lockdowns. This June, Once is back to set hearts racing again! Once is directed by Richard Carroll (Calamity Jane) with musical direction by Victoria Falconer (Lizzie the Musical), and movement direction by Amy Campbell (A Chorus Line).
With songs from the critically-acclaimed film, including the Oscar-winning song ‘Falling Slowly’, this spellbinding score will have you holding your breath from beginning to end.
